Lydd Airport – Terms & Conditions of Use
1. Definitions
Airport refers to Lydd International Airport (EGMD), operated by London Ashford Airport Ltd.
User or Operator means any person, pilot, crew, passenger, company or vehicle authorising or conducting operations at the Airport.
CAA Licence refers to the Civil Aviation Authority Ordinary Licence (P858), permitting public transport and flight instruction use .
2. Access & Prior Permission (PPR)
All aircraft require Prior Permission Required (PPR) at least 24 hours in advance. Extension to 24‑hour (H24) access available by arrangement .
Access outside standard hours (0830–1900 LT) may incur standby charges.
3. Operating Times
Standard hours: 08:30–19:00 local time.
Extended hours available via prior arrangement (H24) .
4. Safety & Compliance
All operations must comply with UK Air Navigation Order and Airport Operational Procedures.
Pilots must check latest NOTAMs before arrival/departure .
Ground vehicle access restricted to designated airside routes and speed limits.
5. Aerodrome Infrastructure
Runway 03/21, length 1,505 m; equipped with ILS, RNAV, NDB approaches .
Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting available at CAT 2; CATs 3–5 subject to request and charges .
6. Fees, Charges & Payments
Charges published monthly; updated lists available online .
CAT 3: £135 (+ VAT) per rotation (max 4 hrs); CAT 4/5: £340 (+ VAT) .
De‑icing, aircraft parking, vehicle standby and fuel priced per published airport charges. All fees subject to VAT.
7. Fuel & Handling
Jet A‑1 and Avgas are available; fuel service subject to supply and operational conditions.
Ground handling, de‑icing, towing, parking and catering services available via operations team .
8. Ground Transport & Amenities
Onsite Parking
Transport links: taxis, local bus route, rail via Ashford International .
Passenger lounge and café are available during opening hours.
9. Liability & Indemnity
Users operate at their own risk and must maintain adequate insurance.
The Airport and its operators are not liable for indirect damages, except in cases of proven negligence.
10. Use of Website & Data Protection
Website content is provided “as is”, and Lydd International Airport disclaims liability for errors or omissions.
Personal data is handled per UK GDPR and is only used for operational purposes; not shared without consent.
